Would it be strange if a mom had a pink diaper bag and a baby boy?

Why would it be weird, it’s not really his bag but her’s.
A diaper bag is a diaper bag. I don’t put too much thought into it. Half the time, I carry the crap in my real purse anyways.
It doesn’t really matter if someone wants a pink bag they should get it!
They are the ones carrying it around all the time, they should get the color that they want.
But if they are truly worried about it they might go for something like this?

i agree, the mom is using it…if you prefer the pink one…get it.
i’m not a fan of diaper bags to begin with…i just carry a huge white purse…which is MINE and not a definition of my baby at all.
I don’ t think it would be strange. I have a boy and my diaper bag is red. You are right though you are a girl and you are the one who carries it. I have seen Dads carry “boy” coloured diaper bags and have girls. So I say go for it
I was just looking at new diaper bags yesterday because I still use the freebie one from Enfamil that the hospital gave me.
I felt like blue stuff is okay if you have a baby girl, girls can do blue really well at any age. But pink stuff for a baby boy, not so much. I decided that I’d never get pink stuff so that I could use everything for either gender, but I’d be totally open to blue.
But that’s just my humble opinion.
Well, I have a girl and a tan coloured boyish looking diaper bag.
The diaper bag never really mattered to me. I don’t even notice what other parents diapers bags look like. So I just picked out a diaper bag that I thought was really cute, regardless of the colour. Because like you said, the mum is the one carrying it around
I have an old Vera Bradley purse that I use as my diaper bag. I have a baby boy and did not feel the need to buy a masculine diaper bag or even a diaper bag at all. I think it is a waste of money. I have sooooo many pocket books that I could use as a diaper bag. I don’t bottle feed so I don’t need pockets for bottles. I rarely stay at places long enough to have to change my son’s diaper in a public restroom so I don’t really need a mat to put him on. If I need to, I will change him in the car. People just assume that I am carrying my purse but I have diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, toys, and my wallet in it. I would take back that diaper bag and use a purse.
If I found an adorable pink diaper bag, I’d use it.
It ain’t my son carrying it around.
Hell, I want to get a Hello Kitty backpack to use as a diaper bag once all I have to carry around is some diapers and a change of clothes.
I wanted a pink diaper bag but got a blue one because i was having a boy and didnt want people assuming my son was a little girl! for some reason I just hate when they think hes a girl but if that wouldnt bother you than go for it.
Why should it?
If people are going to remark more about a diaper bag than your cute baby, then they have a problem.
It’s just a color for a bag, nothing more or less.
A diaper bag is just a big oversized purse, why would it be weird mom should carry what she wants not a blue one just because she has a boy.
When I start having kids I’m going to get a bag that I like, I agree with the other responses, its you carrying it, not your son. Go for something cute that you like!
In our store, moms spend hours deciding which diaper bag to purchase. It is a very personal decision and one which is usually not taken lightly. We have seen both sides of the decision: some moms choose to match the sex of the baby; some choose to match their personal preferences.
At the end of the day, mom carries the diaper bag around almost like a pocketbook, so we feel it should be whatever colors mom wants!
