It is certainly an immature bladder. She needs to be let out more often. Puppies can be expected to ‘hold it’ for one hour per month of age. Expecting any more is unrealistic.
She is able to hold during sleeping hours, as a dog’s system sort of ‘shuts down’ while they are asleep.
You should look at it a bit more compared to human babies. A baby will dribble or pee all day and all night! Thankfully, puppies do tend to be able to hold it more while they are sleeping…
hi take the dog to your vet and ask the vet to x-ray her for the immature bladder,either that or the dog has a uti urinary tract infection.put a layer of wee wee pads in her crate on top of newspapers,shes probable still being housebroken,take her outside a few times a day and bring along some treats,everytime she piddles or poops you prause her and give her a treat,she will get the idea,collies are extremelysmart dogs,i know,,i had one! and it was also a female!

well if shes only 4 months her blatter is still not that big yet take her for a walk more offten
A four month old puppy should have been checked by a vet by now. This is a question only he can answer. Get the puppy to one soon.
