Take him to the vet, they’ll help you out there…maybe he just needs training of when to go to the bathroom, but on the other hand it could be he has a bladder problem but take him to the vet or to someone to train him for you.

If he’s a young dog, he’ll probably outgrow it. Otherwise, you might see a vet about medicines and suggestions to help control the problem.

    Good luck!

Some dogs “Piddle” when they get excited, scared or nervous about something. He might be a coward, but it also sounds like you might intimidate him to a certain extent and that he’s afraid of you for some reason…Why don’t you try being a little nicer to the dog?

You could try a “Belly Belt” on him, which is kind of like a diaper for a male dog – At least when he piddles, it won’t be all over the place.

I saw your response that you’re being nice – He’s probably remembering the times you weren’t…Dogs don’t forget the past. I would just try to make friends with him – Give him some affection and positive attention…Shelties are somewhat of a “Nervous” breed, so try not to do anything to spook him.

My puppy too. Is your dog a puppy? Some younger dogs are like that and they leak when they get too excited. Mine seems to be like that when he gets super happy when he sees me and my wife. Anyway, I think they will grow out of it. I hope so, its very frustrating when i carry him up and he leaks all over me.

He might have a problem with controlling it, a trip to the vet will give you answers.
