My suggestion is change it even if it is pee. Would you want to be sitting in a wet diaper? I sure woudlnt and I am sure she would feel better if she was changed each time you notice its wet. It isnt good for the skin either she can get rashes and such.

well like you say whenever she needs it.
and yeah it should be changed in the night…to keep her clean and comfortable.
also try and get her in a routine of when its changed..
    but still change when needed.
    good luck =]

yes you should change it at night sometimes the pee in the diaper can get cold and make the baby restless and can cause a bad diaper rash. I go by the rule after they eat I change them, just because I always tend to feed children every 2 to 3 hours, if not more. I sometimes do the squish test on the diaper too if I know they’ve been drinking alot of liquids in the day, if it feels jelly, its time for a change

You can save yourself some money by changing her when your can feel the squishiness from the outside of the diaper. If it starts to hang, you’ve waited too long. One pee-pee is too soon to change and heavy on the pockets. I’d estimate about three pee-pee’s depending on how much she has bee drinking.

I would change them when they feel like they are wet, and my son is 8 weeks old, and i check his diaper every 15 mins while im at home to see if its wet, and if it does i change it, and if its poppy i change it right away, and if its wet in the middle of the night i also change it, some babies can break out due to a wet diaper on them

whenever it’s full.. i change my 7 month old girl’s diaper when she poops right away, but when i check and see that she’s only peed i wait until the diaper feels full (depends how much she drinks, usually every 3 hours it seems full to me). it also depends on a brand of diaper you use for her, some diapers keep the baby dry on the outside because all the liquid is absorbed deep within a diaper. i don’t change her at night unless i touch it and it feels waaaay too full, but that doesn’t happen very often.

Don’t change it in the middle of the night unless …A: She has a rash or B: she’s totally soaked to her PJ’s. why wake her up.
During the day I’d say every 4-5 hours. Obviously that would depend on how soaked she is or again if she has a sore butt. Diapers are expensive and you may as well get your moneys worth on them.

It depends if she is wet. If she is wet than yes change it. Some babies will pee a lot after they have been a wake for a while, so depending on what your baby is like you may want to wait 5 mins after she wakes up to change her. My rule of thumb is a diaper should be check every two hours (unless they are asleep). If it is wet change it. You should know how to tell a wet diaper by now.

We go through about 6 diapers a day at 9 months, and yes you should be changing it during the night when she wakes up.

During the day, change her whenever you notice she is dirty, whether it be pee or poopy. At night, you don’t need to do it every time she wakes, but I recommend doing it at least once to keep her comfortable. I know my son will have trouble sleeping if his diaper has too much pee.

change it when it is dirty! if she wakes up at night and it is dirty, change it! she’s already awake, right???come on

I would change it every three hours unless she is poopy or the diaper feels very heavy. If you use cloth diapers they should be changed every two hours or when they are poopy. My daughter sleeps all night in a cloth diaper and I do not need to change her (12 hours). Her skin is not damp in the morning, and she has never had a diaper rash. But if your daughter wakes up on her own and feels wet, I would change the diaper. I just wouldn’t wake her up to do it and disrupt her sleeping pattern. Good luck!

Really, you should every single time they peepee or poopoo. Although, I am not that stringent and other moms might say that they are, but I bet my bottom dollar they arent. I dont let it go for over 2 hours, unless its at night. No, I dont change her unless she would be really awake, but if she ever wakes up at night, she immediately falls back asleep. Im not going to bother her and wake her up for good.
